When you are selecting a gemstone engagement ring, it’s nice to know a coordinating wedding band is available. Coordinating wedding bands can be contoured or straight and still sit close against the engagement ring. Additionally, it is important that the wedding band have design details that tie into the engagement ring so the two rings look like they belong together. The key to getting a great fit between the engagement ring and band is in the design of the engagement ring itself.  We wanted to take this opportunity to show you examples of both. The first engagement ring design shows a cushion cut gemstone in an ornate filigree basket setting. Because of the shape of the basket, a straight band would not sit flush and there would be a gap between the engagement ring and wedding band.

We designed a contoured band that nestles against the engagement ring for a beautifully united look. Note that the band has similar design details as the engagement ring. From the filigree pattern to the size of the diamonds, the wedding band is the perfect match. Even the outside edge of the band is finished with diamonds.

Another approach is to select a gemstone engagement ring that has a coordinating straight wedding band. This is a great option if you would like a band to wear independently from the engagement ring. We have a similar cushion cut gemstone engagement ring that features a straight wedding band.

As with the contoured band, this straight band also has design details, including the milgrain edging and beaded detail on the outside, that coordinate with the engagement ring.
